Democratizing Data Science Education using AutoML: Teaching with Dataiku DSS

Diane Igoche
Robert Morris University

Objectives
This interactive workshop will showcase a collaborative data science tool that can be used to teach Data Science to students with diverse programming and computing backgrounds. Attendees will leave the workshop with a sample course outline (8 week or 15 week), and a project to use in their courses. Dataiku's DSS is a collaborative data science software that can help users explore, build, and deliver data products.

This tool can be useful in a classroom that has students from different majors. Instructors can use this tool to highlight applicable parts of the data science lifecycle as well as the importance of data preparation and model selection to enable a decision maker find actionable insights in their data.

Targeted Attendees
Instructors and Researchers teaching Data Science, Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence courses to students of all backgrounds
